Minister of Environment Visits NADEC Booth, Witnesses Agreement with Dutch Firm KUBO

The Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, visited NADEC’s booth at the Saudi Agricultural Exhibition, where he was briefed on NADEC’s key projects in environmental sustainability, including the innovative NADEC Artificial Lake Project, designed to enhance natural resource efficiency and environmental balance within agricultural operations.

During the exhibition’s opening, a cooperation agreement was signed between NADEC and Dutch company KUBO to establish the largest sustainable protected agriculture project in the Kingdom. The project will utilize advanced greenhouse technologies for year-round crop production, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to boost food security and adopt smart, sustainable agricultural solutions.

The projects showcased at NADEC’s booth reflect the company’s commitment to sustainability and clean energy through advanced practices in water and energy conservation, improved irrigation efficiency, and the use of renewable energy to reduce carbon emissions. NADEC also focuses on circular economy principles and preserving natural resources.

The agreement highlights the importance of modern technology in developing sustainable agriculture, and the role of international partnerships in transferring expertise and knowledge to the local agricultural sector, enhancing productivity, crop quality, and supporting sustainable agricultural and economic development in Saudi Arabia.

In recent years, NADEC has implemented several innovative projects aimed at advancing agricultural technology and improving production efficiency, in support of its environmental and economic sustainability goals, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
